TAG Heuer Carrera Date comes in new editions.
The story of innovations and performances started as far in the past as 1860, when Edouard Heuer founded his watch-making workshop in Sent-Imier. The famous watchmaker attracted public attention already with his first invention. Namely, at those times one had to use a key to wind a watch. Wishing to make winding easier, Heuer made a crown that eventually became the regular part of wrist watches.
However, his brilliant mind never stopped at that. Heuer made the first water resistant pocket watch housing, and the first stopwatch with 1/100 and 1/1000 of the second precision.
His heirs continued the tradition of broadening the limits of watchmaking. Thanks to them TAG Heuer became the leading brand among Swiss luxurious watches. Although really revolutionary models make the list of collections, one name is outstanding: Carrera watches.
The idea was born in 1962, at the famous Sebring racing range. Jack Heuer, great grandson of the company founder, saw the Carrera Panamericana race for the first time, the race that is considered to be the most dangerous one in the world. Inspired by the speed of that demanding race, one year later he introduced his first Carrera watch, which became the trademark of the brand.
With its robust form, outstanding durability and clean and functional lines, TAG Heuer Carrera could meet the challenges of the racing range. The design was based on key elements of racing cars’ dashboard, providing good readability.
Regardless of the fact that it was intended for professional drivers, a modern, highly functional wristwatch was created, open to provide pleasure to many. The new era of TAG Heuer Carrera Date watches
Carrera Date as a separate line, with its focus on elegant watches, started to develop at the beginning of the 21st century. Those models were characteristic for their thinness and subtle design of classical aesthetics – as compared to sporty chronographs of previous Carrera collection models.
An important development happened two years ago, when Watches & Wonders Fair introduced the latest version. Starting from the original model, the brand launched TAG Heuer Carrera Date, 36 mm in diameter. Thus the generally loved collection offer was enlarged with the unisex luxurious watches.
Attractive colors and refined looks of the new TAG Heuer Carrera Date personify the philosophy of this line. At the same time, it is a reminder of the versatility of this legendary design. The same style continued during the years that followed, and Carrera Date appeared in precious materials.
Made of 18-carrat 5N pink gold, mother-of-pearl and diamonds, these watches add sophistication to the popular line.
With its stainless steel and pink gold housing, with the pink solid gold bezel and copper dial, new Carrera Date leaves stunning impression wherever it appears. A golden and stainless-steel bracelet, in the same style as the housing, provides perfect finishing touch.
One can find the perfect balance of elegance, comfort and robustness with the model made of steel. Its 36 mm housing is complemented with the white mother-of-pearl dial. Pointing hands and indices made of 18 carat 5N pink gold are outstanding on the dial, as well as the rim adorned with 76 diamonds, 0.288 carat in total. Those details provide a noble shade to the total design.
The new TAG Heuer Carrera Date with steel housing and pink gold bezel is the synonym for luxury. Combination of those two materials is present also with bracelet, thus rendering harmonious looks. The conquering element is the dial: besides golden indices and the rim with 76 diamonds, there are additional 11 diamonds marking hours, 0.22 carat in total.
All the watches run on automatic caliber 7, working at the frequency of 28.800 vibrations per hour, with 50 hours power reserve.

Besides the bold TAG Heuer design models, among the new luxurious watches at W&W 2025 Carrera Date in pastel shades are presented.
Steel housing, 36 mm in diameter, combines brushed and polished finish, thus creating a perfect basis for the soft tones of the dial. It is completed with the fixed bezel and inclined sapphire crystal, with a double anti-reflex layer.
Pink dial is of the „sunray“ effect, and the violet one comes with the „snail“ effect. That makes the only difference between these watches.
There are 11 diamond hour indices on the dials, while the date indicator is situated at 6 o’clock. The 60 minute/second scale is on the edge ring. Hour indices and pointed hands are with the Super-Lumi Nova layer, providing clear readability in total darkness.
Sapphire back lid of the housing shows the automatic movement that runs at the frequency of 28.800 vibrations per hour. As compared with the previous version, this one has larger power reserve – 56 hours.
